But an infinite amount of something means any amount of variations to that something. With enough variations you get a completely different universe, especially with when those branches happen. There’s no limit to what kind of universe you get when infinite is taken in to account. That’s the whole point an infinite multiverse. The more branching off points, the more differences accumulate. An infinite amount of branches equate to an infinite amount of differences.

But you’re forgetting the MCU lore in the process… The MCU defines how a universe operates based on the the infinity stones… So we can’t just look at standard mathematical probabilities, but we have to also look at the lore

But even the infinity stones in what if are different. The infinity smasher didn’t work for ultron’s infinity stones because they are different from each other. They don’t even work the same because Captain Carter is able to handle them without getting hurt.

I understand all of your points but branches happen off of other branches, and if we’re two steps removed from the main branch then there are two sets of differences. It’d be different if all of the branches were off of the main 616 branch but we know branches lead to other branches. The more branches off of branches happen the farther those branches get from the sacred timeline. If every branch on the same tree can lead to infinite branches then the possibilities for what every universe in that multiverse can be is limitless. It’s the same how evolution works. Everything is connected but a human is clearly different than bacteria. The multiverse is essentially the evolution of universes. The farther we get from the from the 616, the more differences we should see. An infinite amount of minuscule changes to one thing should lead to an infinite amount of  different things and eventually vastly different universes. They even said as much in their marketing, “a Multiverse of infinite possibilities.” Does that not mean literally anything can happen? Also, just because we haven’t seen branches of 838 and the paint universe in What If doesn’t mean they’re not branches. The whole point of What If is to show different universes as it pertains to the MCU. That’s more of creative directive, I do believe Marvel has limited the What If writers to only things the MCU has established so far. If I’m wrong, then I’m wrong. I just think one multiverse is simpler and it’s the way it’s been done in every other movie/TV franchise.

But you’re assuming that the paint universe was that way the whole time. We don’t know that. These changes can naturally happen or by something intervening with the multiverse. I think the further branches are the harder it is to travel to them. But people like America or the Watcher can easily travel to them. Even the 1602 episode mentions that Scarlet Witch gets Peggy from a neighboring universe.

Someone or something could’ve made the paint universe that way. We don’t know the history of the paint universe. There are a plethora of alternate dimensions that exist and we don’t know where they came (ex Dark Dimension, Quantum Realm). The 1602 Wanda knows how to bring other people from different universes, that doesn’t necessarily mean that our Wanda would know how to do that. Especially, if the Darkhold is telling our Wanda to do evil things to get her children, she wasn’t thinking straight. I do get your points on how hard  traveling the multiverse is supposed to be and figuring what is supposed to cause incursions. You’re right about just agreeing to disagree and we’ll see what Marvel establishes when we get the next Multiverse project. I do appreciate the discussion though. I hope I didn’t come across as aggressive or anything. I just like debating nerd stuff especially the MCU.
